Here it is: our newest church portrait. We had one in 1999, and one in 2003. This time we didn't have a newborn. I guess this is what we look like now. Yep, that's us. Emma wants her hair cut everyday and the boys refuse to let me cut theirs. Bible study has been delayed for two weeks. Good plan - VBS is next week. I'm not stressing about VBS. I have committed to hanging out. That's my contribution. That and rounding up kids to go. Last two years we've taken 10 and 12 guests. And the Brown family has come home with the prize for most guests. This year....down to one vehicle. We may be able to borrow a car to get the kids there. So far, I can count on 7 guests.
Weighing on my heart are some people that need prayer. If you can take a moment to pray for these, please lift their struggles to God and His healing. Two families close to me are going through divorces, both families have young children. My cousin Daphne has surgery tomorrow on both of her feet. She is feeling a great deal of anxiety and will be on her bum for 8 weeks. Personal finances for us. VBS kids and adults. Bible study for the ladies. The current baby boom - friend in Orlando just had a 10 pounder (not a bass). Sis-in-law Shannon due mid to late July. Her sugar level has been high but she has been controlling it with her diet. And a friend who admits she is battling against God.
Quoting Kirk Cameron's recent visit on The View: "Statistics show that 10 out of 10 people die. Then what happens?"

Keep me posted on the VBS of it all. BTW, who's doing crafts this year since I can't make the commute? I am going to really miss seeing all those lovely faces...tell EVERYONE hi for me!!!
